Product Care

We believe that each piece of your jewelry is your pride and joy, and it should sparkle and shine on you every day. To enjoy the best features of your precious jewelry whenever you feel like, we suggest some steps which could help keep your jewelry looking at its best for as long as it should.

Gold Jewelry:

Gold may be cleaned with soft, lint-free cloth to keep free from dust or dirt. It may be washed gently in lukewarm water and dry with cloth. In case you wear your gold jewelry all day every day, you should avoid harsh chemical such as chlorine or mercury. We also do not recommend wearing different carat gold as rubbing may cause scratches on the softer material.

You may choose to bring in your jewelry for polishing, refinishing to remove scratches and nicks, or have your jewelry re-plated to bring back the luster of your gold jewelry.

Silver Jewelry:

Regularly wipe your silver jewelry with clean, soft cloth. Avoid contact with household chemicals or product containing sulfur dioxide or hydrogen sulfide.

Silver may be polished with a silver polishing cloth. Store your silver jewelry in cool and dry place when not in use

Diamonds:

Diamonds may be cleaned with soap and soft brush, rinse thoroughly with warm water, then dry with clean cloth. We recommend cleaning in close-bottom container or ensure a good sink plug/stopper is secured tightly when washing diamond jewelry in the sink.

As diamonds are very hard gemstones, they are less susceptible to scratch from rubbing against softer materials. Naturally, care should be taken to avoid a diamond from coming into contact with another diamond.

Some diamond jewelry are designed with “exposed” diamond edges, particularly the girdle and culet. These edges may be chipped or cleaved from sharp impact.

Other gemstones:

Gemstones ranging from precious stones, like rubies, sapphires and emeralds to semiprecious stones, like topaz, garnets, chrysoberyls, quartz, opals, turquoises, etc., have varying hardness and react differently to chemicals, light and heat. Most gemstones may be cleaned with soft, lint-free cloth, but some can be damaged by household chemical, soft brush, or even water.

Organic gems, such as pearl, amber, ammolite, etc. are especially prone to damage from mild chemicals or environmental exposure.

Treatments and enhancements can affect how gemstones react to cleaning methods as well. In case you are unsure how to properly clean your jewelry with gemstones, bring them in to have them professionally cleaned.

Again, we recommend you wear or store them with care, and avoid rubbing them against one another.

Finally, we recommend that you have your jewelry inspected regularly for damages or worn-out parts, for example prongs and joints, to avoid losing any gemstones set in your precious jewelry.
